1. Explore Sydney’s famous coastal walking tracks
With a plethora of walking tracks around Sydney’s stunning coastline, there is no doubt you could explore a different track every weekend for the rest of the year. Grab a friend and take advantage of a calorie-burning catch-up.

Try the iconic Bondi to Bronte, venture in the opposite direction on the slightly more challenging North Bondi to Watson’s Bay track, or if you find yourself north of the bridge, the Spit to Manly 9 kilometre track is a must.

2. Take the plunge at your local outdoor swimming pool
While there are countless physical benefits of swimming laps, living in a city as spectacular as Sydney gives you all the more reason to slip into that one piece you’ve been neglecting. You can’t go past Bondi Icebergs, with it’s sweeping coastal views in every shade of turquoise, it’s not hard to believe it’s the most instagrammed pool in Sydney.

For harbour views check out Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool in Woolloomooloo Bay, or make the worthwhile trip over the bridge and check out Maccallum Pool in Cremorne Point to swim with views of the stunning city skyline.

3. Brave a new fitness class
AnyClass is a concept that is brand new to Sydney, offering members an all-access pass to a multitude of gyms and fitness studios across Sydney. If you’ve been meaning to try Aerial Yoga or a Barre or Adult Ballet class, the AnyClass pass might be just the ticket. 4. Sign up for a fun-run
Want to turn it up a notch? There’s nothing like an impending half-marathon to get you lacing up your running shoes on the regular, and training for a fun-run gives you a goal to work towards. Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is on the fast approach, scheduled for Sunday September 20.

If the thought of running 21 kilometres is a little too daunting, the festival also offers a 9 kilometre course over the Harbour Bridge and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, finishing in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

5. Try your hand at a water sport
Spring is just around the corner, which means you will soon be welcoming any excuse to be out in the sunshine. One of the great pleasures of living in a city surrounded by water is that the selection of water sports is plentiful. With kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding and surf lessons all guaranteed to tone up your body in time for summer, you won’t get bored maximising your vitamin D intake this spring.
