She is one of the best looking 60 year old women on the planet, and now Christie Brinkley launched her own skincare range – and it’s vegan.
The woman who was thrust into the global limelight first as a sports illustrated model, then as Billy Joel’s uptown girl many years ago now has remained remarkably uptown, and says sun protection in her skincare range called “Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare’ is a focus these days.
The former face of Covergirl has previously maintained her skincare routine is fairly simple. In an interview with Harpers Bazaar earlier this year she said she cleanses, moisturises and exfoliates, and wears sunscreen every day, and drinks a lot of water.
Brinkley created the range with US Dermatologist Doris Day, and Brinkley was insisted it is vegan, in line with her own lifestyle and beliefs. It ranges in price from $22.95 to $69.95.
The mother of three says she keeps things simple. And the secret to her incredibly youthful looks? “My kids (28 year old Alexa Ray Joel, 19 year old Jack Brinkley-Cook and 16 year old Sailor Brinkley-Cook) keep me young. Because I’m an older mum, I have a responsibility to my kids as well as myself. I want to be there for them.”
