Brilliant New Skincare for the Warmer Weather

the best skincare for summer

From a kombucha cleanser to a toner fragranced with cinnamon donuts, this is the new wave of skincare for warmer weather.

Our skincare motto at Bondi Beauty is, new season, new skin.

And as we are well and truly in the middle of summer, and Autumn lays in wait around the corner. There’s really no better time to shoot your skincare regime next level.

Check out the new skincare products we rate for summer.

Step One: Cinnamon Toast Fragranced Face Scrub

It’s time to gently scrub away all that excess makeup, dirt and grime from winter. Spring is about fresh skin that looks young and dewy, and this can only be achieved by scrubbing away dead skin cells, and winter build up.

Jelly Ko Cinnamon Toast Sugar Scrub Foam RRP $35

This gentle exfoliator helps dissolve dirt and debris from clogged pores, and melts into a creamy foam once water is added and is massaged into the skin. Skin will feel fresh and renewed after use.

Step Two: Kombucha Face Wash

In the cooler months you may have used oil-based cleaners and micellar water-based cleansers to clean away dirt and grime, as they kept skin nice and silky in the cooler weather. Now that Spring is here, try using a probiotic or nutrition rich face wash that won’t dry out skin, but will cleanse and reboot the skin.

Skin Proud Kombucha Rise and Defend Face Wash $27.99

Can be used both for AM and PM, this gel to water face wash is powered by probiotics derived from kombucha, which help to remove impurities, whilst keeping skin soft and hydrated and with a boost of microbiome balance to skin cells.

Step Three: Cinnamon Donut Fragranced Toner

Toner is one of those products you either use or don’t think too much about. If you are wanting to achieve dewy skin, and you haven’t quite yet figured out how to do it. Toner is the reason why. Toner helps to prep, hydrate, nourish and soften skin before you apply other products like serum, oils and moistursiers.

Jelly Ko Dewy Glaze Toner RRP $40

This toner is a decadent treat to the skin, which smells like cinnamon donuts. It nourishes the skin with a beautiful blend of ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Chinaberry plant extract and Ivy Gourd fruit, all designed to boost hydration and protect the skin.

Step Four: The balm that does just about everything including refresh under your eyes

Time to feed the skin around the eyes to help reduce any baggies, fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots which often occur during cooler months. This can either be done using a nourishing eye cream, or with a concealer cream designed for the eye area.

TIP: If you opt for using concealer instead of an eye cream, try using a face cream that will nourish skin around the eyes, so concealer and foundation doesn’t dry out and age the eye area.

Skin Proud Everything Balm RRP $14.99

This little tube has been formulated with jojoba oil and coconut oil and is aptly named the everything balm as it does just that – everything. It can be used as an eye balm, or a lip balm. It can even be applied to dry cuticles or dry spots on the face, such as the chin or forehead.

Step Five: Serum to nourish in the heat

To help skin adjust from cool weather to warmer temps, use a serum designed to lock in moisture and feed the skin a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals designed to both protect and hydrate skin. This will help balance oil and even protect against free radical damage throughout the day.

Happy Skin by Lisa Curry Boost Collagen Boosting Serum RRP $89.99

Created by Lisa Curry, and new to the skincare market, this nourishing serum will not only boost hydration, will also help with skin elasticity, and fight fine lines and wrinkles using the technology of collagen. It melts into the skin and is perfect for wearing under foundation for a glowing appearance to the skin.

Step Six: Gel to ice moisturiser

Choosing the right face cream can be challenging as you need to pick one that works for your skin type, whether that be sensitive or very oily.

For Sensitive Skin:

Skin Proud Frozen Over – Gel to Ice Hydrator RRP $

This gel facial cream is also good for inflammation and suitable for all skin types. It’s enriched with hyaluronic acid, and can be used at room temperature for an instant burst of moisture. For Oily and Combination Skin:

Olay Regenerist Antioxidant Vitamin B3, C and E Moisuriser RRP $59.99

Rich in antioxidants, this cream will provide instant hydration for soft and smooth skin, up to 24 hours. Boosted with 3 vitamins (B3, C, E) to target skin cells inside and out, the formulation of the cream is non-greasy moisturiser and non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), and helps to repairs and renew skin cells on the surface to strengthen the skin barrier.

Step Seven: Oil up your face at night

To help lock in all the nourishing and hydrating ingredients add in an additional step of applying a light skin oil to finish off your routine. This is particularly beneficial at night-time if you find heavy night creams too thick to use. Applying a face oil will lock all the goodness into the pores, and at night will stop skin from drying out.
