Because the struggles of chronically dry lips are too real.
The only thing worse than having lips that are drier than the desert is giving up on a mediocre lip balm that literally does nothing for you. Trust me, I’ve been there.

Here are some super nourishing Bondi Beauty-approved lip balms that you’ll actually use up because they’ll do wonders for chronically dry lips:
Alainn Lemon Zest Lip Balm ($10)
Bondi Beauty rating: 3/4
CF V PF
This is probably the homemade zesty lip balm equivalent of a wholesome acai bowl. A bestseller from Bondi Beauty Writer Rebecca Wilkinson’s Alainn vegan lip balms range, Lemon Zest is created from candelilla wax and pure lemon essential oil. I love how it’s also enriched with deliciously nourishing almond and avocado oil, which is all the natural therapy your moisture-starved lips need. Like all Alainn lip balms, Lemon Zest reflects Rebecca’s love for nature and is completely preservative, gluten and sugar-free.
Apivita Lipcare with Propolis ($9.90)
Bondi Beauty rating: 2/4
PF CO
I grabbed one of these Greek babies when I was in Athens last year. It was in the middle of winter, and it felt like my life was over because I was rocking the chapped lips look and I’d forgotten my trusty lip balm back at home. Apivita Lipcare became my new lip balm bae after that, and I’m still heartbroken I finished my first tube. I love how smooth and silky the application is, and how this lip balm instantly softens and soothes your lips with certified organic ingredients like vitamin A, olive oil, shea butter and geranium essential oil. Did I mention it’s also free from parabens, silicones and mineral oil, and made with 95% natural ingredients?
Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm ($6.95)
Bondi Beauty rating: 1/4
PF
I bought this on a whim because I’d given up on my EOS and Blistex lip balms, which just weren’t cutting it for my extra dry lips. Let’s just say that this Burt’s Bees lives up to its name because it literally feels like honey on your lips. I love how gentle and hydrating it is. This Honey Lip Balm is beeswax-based and infused with vitamin E. It’s made from 100% ingredients and free from parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and SLS.
Frank Body Lip Balm ($9.95)
Bondi Beauty rating: 2/4
CF PF
The Frank Body Lip Balm is reppin’ that paraben-free life with its 100% naturally derived ingredients. I love the coffee arabica seed oil in this juicy lip balm because it smells divine and it does an amazing job at plumping and giving dry lips that much-needed pick-me-up. It’s also a multi-tasker that you can use as a cheek highlighter or brow gel. Need I say more?
The Body Shop Hemp Heavy Duty Lip Care ($11)
Bondi Beauty rating: 1/4
CF
Lip balm meets hemp seed oil. This super hydrating product will rescue your ultra-dry lips from the elements. I picked this one up for the novelty of trying out a hemp-based product, and was so surprised when it revived my chapped lips and blessed them with softness. It needs a little warming up, but I loved it.
Trilogy Everything Balm ($20.95)
Bondi Beauty rating: 3/4
CF PF CO
Trilogy Everything Balm is the kid everyone hated but secretly wanted to be back in high school. It’s on the pricier side, but it is an amazing multitasker that will give Vaseline a run for their money because ehem, it’s certified organic and petroleum-free. Made from deliciously natural ingredients like rosehip, echinacea and pawpaw, Everything Balm can pretty much be used for anything. I love how easily the balm melts underneath my fingertips and pampers my lips with moisturising goodness.
