It might sound to good to be true, but it isn’t.
I am a huge fan of quick make-up and skin care tricks that actually work. I often feel like I am in a rush, and don’t have time to waste on a make-up routine I’m only going to wash off a few hours later – but I still want to look hot. These one minute beauty tips and tricks work:
Face: BB Creams are multi taskers. They take care of your skin and give it a glow and coverage similar to tinted moisturiser, but usually a little heavier. They eliminate the need for serum, moisturiser and foundation, so great after a work out or any time you want to be quick. ModelCo’s BB Plus Cream does it all, $20.
I don’t recommend them day after day. You want to be using your good moisturiser every second day – and use a night cream and serum too. Think of them as a regular quick-fix.
Lips: A bold lip is the easiest, quickest way to create a groomed, eye catching look in seconds. Depending on your skin and hair tone, blue reds for paler skins, and pink-reds for blondes work well. Plums give you whiter than white teeth, and look amazing if your skin is clear. Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick has an amazing colour range. $50
Nano Blur: This so called miracle cream claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles immediately, and I have to admit Nanoblur $29.99 does do something. In short, light reflecting particles reflect light at different angles therefore reducing and concealing the appearance of imperfections on the skin. So this doesn’t do anything to actually change your skin, except make it look temporarily brighter and better.
The Mask: Whilst there are masks that take 10-15 minutes, there are a few that work in 60 seconds, and they re-fresh your skin. Biore’s self heating one minute mask $7.99 is a warm thermal mask that envelopes your skin, draws out impurities and truly cleanses the skin. It washes off in 60 seconds and leaves skin feeling smooth and plump.
Scrub: The right exfoliator can brighten your skin in seconds. I love Lush’s Ocean Salt Scrub $20.95 – it smells fresh, feels good and gets right into the pores, so works. It is strong though, so you only want to use it once or twice a week.
