BB Writer Claudia: Hot Oil Treatment

“After killing my hair with bleach and dye I searched the internet for the best ways to revive my hair, hot oil treatment was one of them. The treatment is for your hair, and you can use any household oils. I use olive oil, coconut oil, and Jamaican castor oil.

I put all 3 oils into a bowl and heat the concoction in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. I then run this treatment through my hair starting from the ends and slowly moving up, only working a little bit of product into the area closer to my roots.

The addition of heat opens the hair cuticles, allowing the moisture to properly penetrate the hair. Incorporating hot oil into your haircare routine promotes healthy hair growth and leaves your tresses shiny and healthy. I leave this in for a few hours and then wash it out and carry on with my normal hair routine. I love this form of treatment for my hair, because as soon as my hair dries from the wash, my curls form perfectly, they’re shiny and bouncy and I feel like a new woman”.

BB Writer Phoebe: DIY Polygel Nails

“I came across multiple videos on YouTube that were testing Polygel nails, and the results looked amazing, so I had to try it for myself.

You can buy a DIY kit online HERE and your kit will usually come in a set complete with the gel, UV nail lamp and all tools required to do your nails. All you do is apply the gel to the mould, press it onto your nail and put it under the light for a minute. The gel should harden under the UV light and leave long nails that will last for over a week.

The possibilities are endless with Polygel nails. You are able to customise your nails to whatever length, colour, shape and designs you like”.

BB Writer Rebecca: Waterpik Water Flosser

“Okay, so it’s not the most glamourous beauty trend I have ever picked up, but WOW! What a game changer for at-home dental care.

The nano water flosser by Waterpik RRP $109 is almost as good as the dental version, as it uses high pressure water designed to get into all those niggly difficult places around your teeth, to clean away food, plaque and so many other nasties hiding in your mouth.

You will get gum bleed after the first few uses as the water works to clean away any build-up from both the gums and the teeth, so don’t be alarmed. I tend not to use in the morning, but I love using it at night before bed. I have sensitive teeth, so I use Lukewarm water, and you can even add in a capful of mouthwash into the water as well, for an extra squeaky clean and fresher breath.”

BB Writer Maddy: Glamnetic Eyelashes:

“These revolutionary false eyelashes come with a magnetic eyeliner formula to make the application process simple and easy for everyone. Once the magnetic liner is applied, the lashes simply stick to the liner flawlessly.

This eradicates the need for waiting for the sticky glue to dry and lashes to set or poking out your eyes with tweezers. Unlike conventional fake eyelashes, Glamnetic lashes are secure and will stay on all day without fail. And the removal process doesn’t harm your natural lashes, as there is no glue sticking to your skin. The formula is a more efficient and less toxic solution to fake eyelashes or eyelash extensions.

I love this product since the lashes are so easy to apply, only taking 1 minute, they are waterproof and reusable – they can be used over 40 times. Moreover, Glamnetic offer a range of sizes and styles for all eye shapes and even have a vegan option”.

BB Writer Rebecca: Finishing Touch Flawless Beauty Fridge:

“Perfect for summer, the Beauty Fridge will keep your beauty products fresh and safe from heat.

It also comes in handy for face masks, sheet masks and eye masks, especially when skin is inflamed, hot, irritated or has breakouts. The cooling sensation of the crisp face and eye masks on the skin works wonders in calming any irritations.

Plus, it will extend the life of your beauty products, as often when they are not protected from the heat, they can go off a lot quicker.”
