The following may seem obvious, but almost every nutritionist believes in the following for a healthy, balanced life – and body.
1) Eat Breakfast
It stimulates the metabolism, feeds your brain and gets your day off to a great start. if you make it protein-rich ( think eggs, last night’s left overs), all the better.
2) Don’t drink soft drinks
Too much sugar. And remember this one on Friday night at the pub, as an alcoholic mixed drink with a soft drink also contains sugar – choose soda water instead.
3) Avoid fast food
There is nothing good about fast food. It’s low in nutrition, high in fat and generally suer high in sugar. Avoid it at all costs.
4) Drink water
Water is the best way to hydrate your body, and keep your sin and body young. Keep a bottle on your desk, in the car and sip throughout your day.
5) Eat more vegetables
People in the Western world don’t eat enough vegetables. Vegetables can taste great when cooked right. Get creative, google some new recipes, and think about vegetable juices.
6) Avoid processed food
The first step to avoiding the wrong foods is to learn how to read labels. If there are a bunch of ingredients you don’t recognise, don’t buy it, don’t eat it. Pre-made, pre-cooked food is not good for the body as it contains chemicals to keep it fresh.
7) Learn how to read your body
Learn how it feels to feel full. Most of us overeat, as we eat too fast, or are eating when distracted by something like the TV or even our thoughts. Start with smaller plates, smaller seres, eat slower and train yourself.
Thanks for this article, simple and easy;-).
Like you said being healthy doesn’t need to be complicate:-)!!
