Whether you want sparkly lids, wine coloured lips, statement eyeliner or donut glowing skin, now is the time to level up your new years Eve glam.
New years Eve is an open invitation to step away from your everyday makeup routine with one of these eight trending festive glam makeup ideas.
Here’s what’s trending this season for New Years Eve makeup looks.
Pine Inspired Liner
@hayleybeiber has been rocking the pine liner look on Instagram for a classic festive look.
Start with shimmery pale shades from high on the lid and for your way towards your lashes with deeper shades, finishing with a deep green shade of eyeliner to create the Christmas pine look. Work the green liner under the eye, starting from the edge of your eye on the outside, and working in, then blend with a shimmery white or gold. Finish with false lashes, or extending mascara for long lashes.
Sequinned Studded Eyes
@sabrinacarpenter shared her festive seasonal look on her Instagram.
This look can be achieved with any eye shadow shades, depending on what type of look you wish to achieve. For Sabrina’s look, she has kept with neutral shades, and a soft grey around the eye. Using either makeup glue or lash glue, dab on sequins where desired creating patterns or keep it simple and apply to the inside eyelid near the nose and at the outside of the eye to extend the line of the eye.
Bold Red Lips
The simplicity of a bold red lipstick is always a success on New Years Eve. Keep makeup neutral, with a light bronzer to the cheekbones and eyes, and then embellish the look with a strong vintage red lipstick to stand out. Depending on skin tone, you may suit either a cherry red, or a pink toned lipstick that is less vibrant.
Glitter Lids
Start the look off with a smokey eye. Depending on what shades of glitter you want to use, you can either use a charcoal grey smokey eye and then overlay with a shimmery silver or blue glitter eye shadow. Or use goddess brown tones for the smokey eye and then overlay with different shades of gold glittery shades. Finish with black eyeliner for the charcoal look, or brown eyeliner for the goddess gold look.
Glittery Highlighters:
For a natural glittery look, stick to nude makeup shades for the skin, eyes and lips, and use a dark brown eyeliner and mascara instead of black. Then use a glittery highlighter to add some shimmer and shine, that’s both subtle and makes skin glow. Liquid shimmering highlighters work wonders on the skin, and blend well into foundation. They won’t dry out and keep skin soft and glowing.
