We Tried Skin Control’s New Viral K-Beauty Masks- Here Are Our Thoughts:
The “glass skin” trend continues to dominate the beauty world, and viral K-beauty-inspired sheet masks are at the centre of it. The Skin Control Glass Skin Facial Masks are available in Hyaluronic Acid and Tea Tree Cica versions, promising glowing, hydrated, and balanced skin. But do they actually live up to the hype?
In this review we break down both masks, comparing ingredients, benefits, and results so you can decide which one is worth adding to your skincare routine.
What Are the Skin Control Glass Skin Facial Masks?

Marketed as viral K-beauty face masks, these sheet masks are designed to deliver quick, visible skin results at home. While they share the same “glass skin” goal, smooth, luminous, healthy-looking skin, they target different concerns.
- Hyaluronic Acid Facial Mask: Deep hydration for dewy and glowing skin
- Tea Tree and Cica Facial Mask: Calming and nourishes acne-prone and blemished skin.

“The promise of “glass skin” is one that beauty brands have chased for years, but rarely delivered in a way that feels both immediate and effortless. Enter the The Skin Control Glass Skin Facial Masks — a quietly impressive addition to the at-home skincare space that genuinely lives up to its name.
Infused with hyaluronic acid, the masks are designed to deeply hydrate and plump the skin, but what sets them apart is not just the formulation — it’s the wearability. Unlike many sheet masks that feel overly saturated or prone to slipping, this one sits comfortably on the skin, almost like a second layer. It adheres well enough (after sitting up for about 20 minutes and letting it really grip my face) that I was able to wear it overnight — something I would rarely attempt with a traditional mask.
The result was immediate and, frankly, impressive. I woke to skin that felt visibly more hydrated, smoother and with that sought-after reflective finish — not greasy or coated, but genuinely nourished. There was a noticeable softness and elasticity to the skin that carried through the day, making it an ideal treatment before travel or events.
What’s particularly appealing is the balance between performance and value. In a market saturated with high-priced treatments promising similar results, these masks deliver a comparable level of hydration and glow at a far more accessible price point. They feel indulgent without being excessive, and effective without requiring a complex routine. For frequent travellers or anyone dealing with dehydrated, tired skin — especially after flights or long days — this is the kind of product that earns a permanent place in your beauty arsenal.

“This mask instantly felt more elevated than a regular sheet mask. The packaging was beautiful and slightly bigger than usual, which made it feel more luxurious straight away. Even the texture of the packaging added to that experience. I also loved that the mask was wrapped around a protector inside the packet, it kept all of the serum compact and made it feel much more premium when opening it.
The mask itself felt incredibly soft, almost buttery, and had such a cooling feeling on the skin. It also comes in two parts rather than one, which made it so much easier to apply and sit properly on the face. Unlike a lot of sheet masks, it actually stays in place and feels like it moulds to your face rather than slipping around.
I used it during the day when my skin was feeling stressed and left it on for a few hours. Afterwards, my skin felt noticeably calmer, smoother and deeply hydrated, with that fresh glass skin glow without looking oily. The tea tree and cica formula felt really soothing and nourishing, especially for blemish-prone skin.
What I loved most was how comfortable and wearable it was. It genuinely felt like a treatment rather than just a quick face mask. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting hydrated, glowy skin or needing to calm stressed skin, and I would absolutely keep using it.

“As someone with dry, dull skin, I was hesitant to try this mask, especially since most sheet masks tend to deliver only a temporary glow. However, after leaving the Hyaluronic Acid mask on overnight, the results felt noticeably different. My skin had a genuine “glow from within” that lasted for days beyond the initial use, rather than fading by the next morning.
Once applied, the mask set comfortably to the skin, making it surprisingly easy to wear overnight without slipping off or feeling heavy.
Initially I was apprehensive to try the Tea Tree and Cica mask as my skin is not acne-prone, however I am prone to redness and once removing the mask in the morning I noticed a complete even complexion. My skin was not only free from the redness I typically wake up to, but my complexion was noticeably bright and dewy without that greasy look.
Overall both masks offer more than just temporary results, and I will definitely be incorporating these into my weekly routine.

“I recently tried the Skin Control K-Beauty Masks (the Hyaluronic Acid and Tea Tree Cica), and I was so impressed. The first thing I loved was that the masks come in two parts. Sheet masks never seem to fit my face properly, but this design made such a difference, it was easy to apply and actually stayed in place without awkward adjustments.
The Hyaluronic Acid mask was my favourite. I even slept in it which I never normally do, and my skin looked incredible the next day. It looked super glowy, plump, and deeply hydrated. It gave me that “glass skin” look without feeling heavy and sticky.
The Tea Tree Cica mask was also great, especially for calming my skin. It left my face feeling really soft and soothed. As someone with dull, sensitive, and breakout prone skin, I was a bit cautious, but I didn’t experience any irritation or breakouts at all, which was a huge win.
Overall, both masks felt gentle yet effective, and I’d definitely use them again. I’d rate them a solid 9/10 as they’re easy to use, comfortable, and deliver visible results.

“A fun, easy-to-use mask that delivers instant results. Perfect if you enjoy K-beauty trends and gentle overnight treatments.
After applying the mask to freshly cleansed skin before bed my skin looked noticeably more hydrated and refreshed by morning. It felt softer, smoother, and glowy without the greasiness i sometimes struggle with.
The Tea Tree and Cica version felt especially suited to oily, sensitive skin, while the Hyaluronic Acid version added a subtle plumping effect. The cooling hydrogel texture felt comfortable and stayed in place overnight. I also appreciated the visible hydration without relying on harsh actives.
Overnight use may feel slightly heavy for some, especially oily skin types. It’s more of a short-term hydration boost than a long-term solution for acne or texture. However, the masks are great for dehydrated, sensitive, oily skin needing a quick glow or calming treatment. Tea Tree and Cica suits blemish-prone skin, while Hyaluronic Acid is ideal for dryness or dullness. I’d defintely use both these masks again.
