The Juice Institute 3 day cold pressed juice cleanse, here’s what we learned about the benefits, the challenges, and why it might just be the ultimate health reset for your body.

When the team at Bondi Beauty was invited by Juice Institute to trial their 3-day cold-pressed juice cleanse, we were both excited and a little nervous. The idea of replacing our regular meals with colourful bottles of raw, nutrient-packed juice sounded like the perfect way to hit reset on our health — but also a true test of willpower.

Juice cleanses have become a popular way to support digestion, boost energy, and flood the body with essential vitamins and minerals, especially after periods of overindulgence or stress. So, we decided to see for ourselves what 3-days of juicing could do — from the first sip to the final glow.

The Juice Institute was founded in 2018 from a humble home kitchen in Adelaide, South Australia. Born out of a passion for helping people feel their best through the power of plants. Created by founder Gabrielle Tyler, the brand focuses on sharing the incredible nutritional benefits of raw, cold-pressed juicing with the community. Their mission is simple yet powerful — to empower people to live more plant-based, support local farmers, and embrace sustainable wellness.

Each juice is cold-pressed daily using only fresh, locally sourced produce, ensuring maximum flavour and nutrients without added sugars or preservatives.

With thousands of loyal followers across South Australia, Juice Institute has built a reputation for helping people reset their bodies, boost vitality, and rediscover balance — one bottle at a time. From 1, 3, 5, or 7-day cleanse programs to pure celery juice, detox smoothies, and immunity shots every product is cold-pressed, raw, and unpasteurised, crafted from local South Australian produce with no preservatives or additives. Flash-freezing locks in vitamins, minerals and enzymes, preserving peak nutrition and flavour without compromising shelf life.

Here’s what our nutritionist Jimena says about her experience taking the 3-Day Juice Cleanse.

“I wanted to see how a carefully curated selection of fresh, vibrant juices could help reset my body, boost my energy, and give my digestion a break while enjoying the variety of flavours. And Spring is the best time to do this before the heat of summer kicks in,

The fridge was full of rainbow-coloured bottles, a promise of detoxing and glowing skin. The fantasy of sipping your way into balance was tempting. I decided to take it day by day and really notice how my body responded to liquid nourishment.

Day One: Sweet Starts and Early Realisations

The first morning was full of excitement.  Having each day, a total of 6 drinks with a variety of colors and flavors that where both vibrant and fresh, lined up neatly in greens, oranges, deep reds, and golden yellows.

An easy to follow card was provided so I could easily navigate the recommended order to drink the juices. I started with a bright green juice. It tasted fresh and slightly earthy like cucumber and celery had joined forces for my wellbeing.

Then came the orange juice very sweet, tangy. It instantly became my favourite. By midday I felt a sugar hit and a little rush of energy followed by a gentle dip. I noticed how surprisingly sweet some of the juices were but also how energising they felt.

By the end of the day I felt lighter and more aware of my body. There was a sense of resetting without feeling deprived. The first night I had an early night so I had no trouble sleeping.

Day Two: Clarity and Conscious Awareness

Day two started with the same excitement but with added awareness. The green juice was fresh and nourishing, though the earthy flavours were strong. By mid-morning I felt a small dip in energy but a sip of lemon-infused juice lifted me.

I also noticed clarity. Without the usual snacking or distractions, I became more aware of my natural hunger cues and energy levels. My cravings for sugar seemed slightly calmer but the sweetness of some of the fruit-heavy juices reminded me that balance is key.

Day two was a little harder than day one being honest I started feeling a little tired and a little weak after doing this for some hours. I could have done some light Pilates workout but decided to walk home instead and count that as my exercise of the day.

Day Three: Gratitude and Gentle Reset

By the final day I felt more in tune with my body. I woke up alert, my digestion felt lighter, and my skin appeared more radiant. The orange juices continued to be my favourite, bright, refreshing, and comforting. Even after three days of sweet and colourful juices I felt satisfied and grateful for the reset.

The variety of flavours kept the experience interesting, from earthy greens to tangy citrus blends. I noticed how even small changes like alternating flavours could prevent sugar spikes while still enjoying delicious juice.

The next day I started my day with some high protein breakfast. I made myself some egg with cottage cheese, pesto and a little of avocado.

Key Takeaways from My Juice Cleanse

Balance is better than extremes. Choosing a mix of vegetable and fruit-based cold-pressed juices helps maintain energy while still delivering nutrients. Sweet juices are enjoyable but should be balanced with vegetable-forward blends like celery cucumber and spinach to keep blood sugar steady.

Chewing is missed in a liquid diet but drinking slowly and mindfully allows the body to fully absorb nutrients and enjoy the flavours. Mindful nourishment beats quick fixes. The biggest lesson from the cleanse is that my body doesn’t need punishment or deprivation it just benefits from attention and care.

At the end of 3-days, I was less bloated, with my clothes fitting much better and me feeling a lot lighter.

From a nutritionist’s perspective, a short-term juice cleanse — like Juice Institute’s 3-day program — can be a gentle yet powerful way to give your digestive system a well-deserved break while still flooding your body with essential nutrients.

Cold-pressed juices are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes that help support natural detoxification pathways, reduce inflammation, and improve gut health. By eliminating processed foods, caffeine, alcohol, and refined sugars during the cleanse, your body can reset its metabolic balance and refocus energy on repair and renewal rather than digestion.

Many people report clearer skin, improved focus, better hydration, and a noticeable lift in energy after just a few days. While a juice cleanse isn’t meant to replace long-term balanced eating, it can serve as a refreshing reset — helping to re-establish mindful eating habits and a deeper connection to nourishing, plant-based foods.

I understand that there has been a lot of talk over the years, however, when done around once or twice a year, and pairing the cleanse with gentle movement, walks, and plenty of rest, juice cleanse can be very restorative. But caution, as Juice cleanses are not about fixing the body, they are about creating space for it to reset and restore naturally.
