6. Barrenjoey Lighthouse Walk
This short but challenging walk provides panoramic views of Sydney’s Northern Beaches and access to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. There are two route options to reach the lighthouse: the Access Track offers a gradual climb while the Smugglers Trail delivers a more intense workout with steep stairs guaranteed to get your heart rate pumping and legs burning. For an extra challenge, walk along sandy Palm Beach to add an extra 2.3km and extend the workout.

The walk starts at the coastline near Kurnell and follows the headland around to Cronulla Beach, offering clifftop walking tracks, access to the Cape Bailey Lighthouse and panoramic ocean views along the way. Along the way you will pass iconic landmarks such as Wedding Cake Rock and Eagle Rock which will make the effort worth it.
