In true spring fashion, test out these easy and gorgeous floral cocktail recipes for your next gathering – of less than 20 people of course.

Flowers are blooming, the sun is out and suddenly what has felt like a never-ending stretch of gloom, has been made more bearable by spring’s arrival.

With the bleak year we’ve had so far, it’s important to “cheers” to the little wins every so often to keep your spirits up.

At Bondi Beauty, we don’t shy away from celebrating our achievements by popping open a bottle of bubbly.

So in light of this glorious change in weather, we’ve picked our favourite floral cocktail recipes to help you do just that.

Blueberry and Lavender Mojito Cocktail

For a dreamy combination of fresh blueberry, lavender and rum, try making this stunning mojito that looks as incredible as it tastes.

Ingredients:

½ cup fresh blueberries

1 tbsp water

70 mL lavender syrup (pre-make)

Handful of mint leaves

1 shot of rum

Soda water (fill half the glass)

1 cup ice

Juice of 1 lime

For lavender syrup:

½ cup sugar

½ cup water

2 tsp dried lavender

2 sprigs of fresh lavender

Lavender Syrup Recipe:

  1. Add sugar, water and lavender into a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Whisk the ingredients until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer for 1 minute.
  4. Take saucepan off heat and let it cool down completely.
  5. Using a mesh sieve, strain the mixture, removing any pieces of lavender.
  6. Store in the fridge until needed for cocktail.

Cocktail recipe:

  1. Add blueberries and water to a saucepan and place over medium-low heat until berries take on liquid form.
  2. Transfer mixture to a food processor and puree until smooth.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of blueberry puree to the bottom of your glass.
  4. Add lavender syrup and stir until well-combined.
  5. Drop a few mint leaves into the glass with ice.
  6. Pour rum, soda and squeeze the lime juice into the glass.
  7. Mix with a spoon and add additional mint and lavender for decoration.

Ingredients:

1 shot of gin

20 mL St. Germain (elderflower liquer)

Juice of half a lime

70 mL ginger ale

1 shot blood orange juice

1 Orange sliced

A sprig of thyme.

Recipe:

  1. Combine gin, St. Germain, lime juice and ginger ale in a glass.
  2. Mix together.
  3. Top glass with ice cubes.
  4. Slowly pour in blood orange juice.
  5. Garnish with orange slice and thyme.

Grapefruit Rose Martini Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 shot rose vodka

1 shot grapefruit vodka

½ shot Cointreau

80mL grapefruit juice

Ice cubes

Sugar

Simple syrup

Rose petals

Recipe:

  1. Coat the rim of the martini glass in simple syrup.
  2. Dip the rim into a plate of sugar until the rim is evenly covered.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, vodka, cointreau and grapefruit juice.
  4. Shake well for 20 seconds.
  5. Strain liquid into sugar-rimmed glass.
  6. Garnish with rose petals.
