Can Maybelline’s tubing mascara really deliver longer, lifted lashes without the smudging?

One of the latest to make waves is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky Tubes Tubing Mascara, which combines the brand’s popular Lash Sensational formula with tubing technology designed to coat each lash for length and definition. Tubing mascara provides a practical option for easy removal at end of day.
But does it actually deliver on the promise of longer-looking, defined lashes without smudging or flaking throughout the day? In this beauty review, I’m putting the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky Tubes Tubing Mascara to the test, looking at its application, lash length, volume, longevity and removal to see whether this tubing mascara is worth adding to your makeup bag.
“Despite years of doing a full face of makeup thanks to being a former competitive dancer, I have never used a tubing mascara. I am, however, a longtime Maybelline fan and very loyal to their Sky High waterproof mascara. I was excited to see how this new product applies, how it lasts throughout the day, and its ease of removal.
The Lash Sensational Sky Tubes tubing mascara is simple to apply. It doesn’t clump my lashes together, though it feels heavier than a regular mascara. Throughout wear, I tested it several times and noted very little fallout, whether at home or walking around the city. Moreover, the mascara held up well in different conditions, including a cold day at home and a sunny day outside. Removal remains simple at day’s end, and warm water can do the job. Some micellar water helps move any residue without harsh rubbing.
Additionally, my lashes looked noticeably longer, and I received several compliments today. At the end of the day, removal with warm water is easy, also with micellar water aiding further. Overall, I would rate this tubing mascara 8 out of 10 for everyday use. 8/10“
“I absolutely love this mascara! It gives my lashes great length and definition without becoming clumpy or feeling heavy throughout the day. I especially love how easy it is to apply and build up for a more dramatic look while still keeping my lashes looking separated, lifted and relatively natural. You can easily add another coat if you want more volume and intensity without the formula becoming too thick or difficult to work with.
The best part is how easy it is to remove at the end of the day. The tubing formula comes off so effortlessly with warm water, without all the rubbing, makeup remover and mess that usually comes with removing mascara. Despite being so easy to remove, it still lasts well throughout the day without smudging everywhere. It has quickly become one of my go-to mascaras for an everyday makeup look. “As someone who usually wears little to no makeup, I generally find myself applying some mascara and gloss, then heading out of the house. So naturally, I want a mascara that makes up for a lack of other beauty products, draws attention to my eyes, and lasts the full day. Well, that’s exactly what Maybelline’s Sky Tube Tubing Mascara did. Whether I was at university, work, or even the gym, this mascara managed to stay intact with little to no flaking.
Something I’ve struggled with is finding an affordable mascara that provides high-end results, but this mascara’s lack of clumping and smudging created the impression of a luxury product with all the low-cost benefits. Even with my naturally straight and downturned lashes, the highlight of this mascara was that it didn’t weigh them down throughout the day.

After trying my fair share of Maybelline’s mascaras, it was clear that this mascara was designed for length. So, as someone who prioritises volume, I would definitely use this in combination with a volumising mascara. But if length is what you need, then this product will not fail you. 8/10”
“As a huge mascara lover, I’ve tried almost everything the market has to offer. Tubing mascara isn’t new to the market, but it is booming in popularity. What sets Maybelline apart from other brands is its ability to maintain high-end formulas while offering them at a drugstore price. The Maybelline Lash Sensation Sky High Mascara is one of the few products I have used consistently for years, so when trying this I had very high hopes, and they were definitely exceeded.
I’m a huge fan of big dramatic lashes and what I love most about this formula is how buildable it is and how easy the application is, the slim wand allows you to reach the root of your lashes and helps to prevent clumping. Throughout the day my lashes remained lifted and I had little to no fallout underneath my eyes. Whether you’re going for a super light ‘no makeup makeup’ look for everyday wear or a full face this product is perfect.
