Essential Oils from Luxe to Less

the health benefits of using an essential oil

Following Aromatherapy Awareness Week we’re sharing the best Australian essentials oils from luxe to less blends  and pure essential oils.

Aromatherapy Awareness Week is held once a year by the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA). It is an annual campaign which aims to bring awareness on the benefits of aromatherapy in every day life.

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils and plant extracts to treat varying health conditions such as stress and anxiety, head colds and respiratory infections.

They can be used as a way of bringing harmony to the mind, body and soul for healing purposes. Whether that be through the use of infused creams, oils or lotions.

They can be applied direct to the body, added into hot baths, used for steal inhalation, aromatic spritzers, burners and diffusers. All of which can help clean the air, calm the space and help you relax.

Aromatherapy expert Pat Princi-Jones says “The healing properties of essential oils can relieve headaches, muscular pain, and cold and flu symptoms while a few drops incorporated into a skincare routine can increase hydration, treat acne and regenerate damaged skin. Essential oils can shift one’s mood, improve sleep patterns and lower feelings of anxiety.”

Jones first became interested in essentials oils when she was introduced to the benefits of using exotic aromatherapy scents such as jasmine blooms more than thirty years ago. With a background in teaching, she first established her aromatherapy career in the 90s as a trainer for one of Australia’s leading essential oil brand ‘In Essence’.

However today she is best known for her engaging and inspiring teachings on the therapeutic power of essentials oils throughout Australasia. She regularly features on YouTube and writes articles which help shed light on the benefits of using essential oils in every day life. She is now a member of the the International Aromatherapy & Aromatic Medicine Association.

From Luxe to Less, these are the oils Jones swears by:
