Check out Victoria Secret Angel, Candice Swanepoel showing off her flawlessly toned bod in the latest campaign for Australian active-wear brand, The Upside.

The South African-born supermodel, 25, is best known for her work with Victoria Secret, but has also featured in campaigns for Nike, Max Factor, Swarovski, Tom Ford and Versace.

Models often brag about not having to work out, but Candice says she does, and due to her fast metabolism, the 5-foot-9 beauty sticks to resistance-based training.

Candice is nick named The Flamingo.

“I don’t do any cardio because I burn [calories] too quickly,” she recently told OK magazine.

“I do a lot of resistance training, a lot of bum and legs, boxing.”

“The slower you work out, the more you feel it, and the more you really build,” she went on to explain.

Candice, who is nicknamed The Flamingo because of her long legs, also practices yoga when her body needs a break from boxing three times a week. She says that yoga helps her to stay flexible and keep her mind at peace.

The Upside is a new yoga and active-wear brand founded in 2013 by former model turned Australian Fashion Designer, Jodhi Meares, after 15 years of yoga practice in Australia and the US.

The self-confessed yoga-addict who also founded swimwear company, TigerLily while she was still married to billionaire, James Packer, saw a need for dynamic active-wear that was not only functional but looks great on and off the mat.

Australian model and former rugby league player, Nick Youngquest teams with Candice.

“There was an obvious gap in the market. Everything that was available was either too sportswear, mainstream, or suburban,” she told Harper’s Bazaar Australia.

The winter 2014 collection certainly supports this vision as seen here in the latest advertisements that are photographed by Will Davidson in New Jersey, NY.

Candice is seen posing alongside Australian model and former rugby league player, Nick Youngquest in a range of yoga wear and other fashion-forward looks that can easily be worn from your gym class to coffee afterwards.

From workout tees and tanks, leggings, shorts, camis, sports bras and hoodies, the range has two distinct prints for men and women including black, white and blue paisley and hydrangea.

Some pieces, such as the skin-tight Paisley Ballet Catsuit ($189.95), not only support a strong flowing practice with the reinforced Ballet Bra and full-length panelled pants, but look like they could be worn out for a night on the town.

It’s not the first time Johdi has used Candice to be the face of her brand. She fronted the debut campaign in 2013.

“She really is the perfect person. She lives and breathes it. She practices yoga and she’s super-fit and healthy,” Meares told the Daily Telegraph.
