The First Thing I’ll Do Out Of Lockdown

Coming out of lockdown seems like a long while away, but here at Bondi Beauty we can’t help but imagine all the wonderful things we will be getting up to once the whole world eventually gets back on its feet.

If the havoc of the 2020 pandemic has taught us anything, it’s to a) wash your hands and b) appreciate the life you live outside the comfort of your home.

The Bondi Beauty team have come up with the one thing they can’t wait to do once the lockdown has finished.

Getaway

Bondi Beauty Writer Tara McKenzie:

“Like many, I miss the freedom of being able to go on mini road trips and explore.

My boyfriend and I were supposed to go on a weekend getaway for his 21st birthday this month and I’d also bought tickets to Europe for and adventure in June/ July.

When this whole crisis is over I plan on booking an Airbnb with my boyfriend and taking a drive up the coast for a weekend filled with sun, surf, sand and freedom.”

Back To Travel Norms

Bondi Beauty Editor Renae Leith-Manos:

“Surveys are already showing people will be reluctant to travel after Covid-19, but for me travel is such a big part of my business and life, I can’t wait to get back out there.

Anywhere.

Excuse me while I call a future Uber now.”

Brunch With My Mates

Bondi Beauty Writer Anisha Rapthi:

“After the mayhem of Covid-19 subsides, I have no doubts that my best friends and I will be heading to one of our favourite brunch spots to spend some much needed in-person quality time together.

Although we’ve still managed to virtually maintain “girl time”, it’s just not the same over video. It will be so lovely to not have to see their faces through a screen anymore and instead enjoy what now seems like the luxury of being in each other’s company again.

Not to mention, I can’t wait to re-visit all our well-loved brunch hotspots and the ridiculously delicious food that we have all missed so much.”

Road Trip

Bondi Beauty Columnist Rebecca Wilkinson:

“I am long overdue for an awesome road trip to visit some local communities to give back to this amazing country I call home.

I love exploring small town along the south coast of NSW and although a trip overseas is always on the cards, there’s nothing quite like waking up one morning, jumping into the car and then taking a road trip to a cute country seaside town for delicious coffee and homemade like foods.”

Socialise

Bondi Beauty Writer Zoe Bradbury:

“Although I’m lucky to be living with my boyfriend and two of my best friends, I’m really missing socialising with all of my extended friend group, and I’m really feeling for my other friends who are in isolation alone.

Once lockdown is over, I’m really looking forward to just socialising, relaxing and having fun in a group larger than 2.

I can’t wait to head to a bar or the beach with everyone and celebrate being together again.”
