Satisfy Your Vintage Clothing Craving Online

vintage clothing

Get your vintage fix with these online stores stocked with both timeless and trendy vintage clothing.

Shopping for vintage clothes is fun to do with friends and results in some unique finds, but the fashion world is responding to lockdown rules to make sure everyone feels like they can still find vintage treasure, just online.

Whilst restrictions are lifting, only some stores are opening, and customer numbers are limited to enforce social distancing, and Government guidelines still say it’s best to stay away from public places when possible.

In the place of sifting through racks of clothing with an eagle eye, there are options for finding gems ready for a new home online and for a range of budgets.

Shopping for second hand clothing is much more sustainable than buying new, as there are no production costs or waste for these clothes. It’s important to remember before returning any items that are ripped or stained-that’s just part of it being vintage, so check everything carefully before committing to buy it.

Many vintage clothing stores have also started “upcycling” clothing, which involves making simple but modern changes to second hand clothes they find. This can fix clothes that may be damaged, or change the clothing to bring them in line with current trends. Australian model twins Elisha and Renee Herbert are also huge fans of shopping vintage and up cycled clothing.

Buying clothing second hand is a great way to score designer items without the huge price tag, and once they are in stores, they are likely off the street and there’s no chance of bumping into someone with the same outfit.
