The new dating app happ’n is the perfect companion for Valentine’s day if you’re single – and it’s currently sweeping Sydney.

We’ve all been there. You’re sitting at a cafe and spot a guy walking past who is picture-perfect. He catches your eye, you feel that zap of connection as his honey brown eyes meet yours.

As he smiles, you look away for a second – not to look too eager, only to turn around, and he’s gone. Bam. But how can you find him again?

Until now, your only option was to ask the staff in the cafe, and possibly sit in the same location every day in hopes he’d re-appear. Well, that has all changed with a new French based app called Happ’n.

Happ’n takes Tinder to a new level and makes the dating process easier than ever, as the communication is all done in real time – meaning instantly, and you are matched according to your location via GPS.

You simply down load the happ’n app, which then clicks into your Facebook profile, (like Tinder) accessing your details and images. But the big difference is, this app is in real time.

So you spot the guy, and assuming he is single and has the app, you can both communicate right there and then – on the spot. And you know you’re both available and he is legitimate, a real person.

Whether you are in a bar, a meeting, the gym, at home or  at a park, anyone of the opposite sex who fits your age criteria will pop up automatically on a live feed whilst they are within striking distance of your location.

You don’t even have to have the app open – if he likes you, you will receive a heart notification instantly, and you can choose to respond so you both know you are interested. Alternatively if you want to scour a room so to speak, you can have the app open and see who pops up. Anyone who is in your vicinity and is single will be there – and the feed constantly updates as people walk in and out of your radar.

Like Tinder, their name, age and a selection of their Facebook photos pops up.

In the opening example in the cafe, you could instantly open the app and see his details, even if he has walked out of the vicinity. And you can send him a heart so he knows you’re interested or text him immediately via the app.

Every time someone single crosses your path that fits your brief, they pop up on the top of your feed. Simple. The French and Brits love it – and it’s taking Sydney by storm. Just try it once and you’ll be hooked.

Making a new connection just became so simple.
