You Must-Try The New Health App by Jessica Sepel

Australian health author Jessica Sepel has launched a fab new health app called JSHealth App.

Created to empower people with the right tools to live a happy, healthy and balanced life, this new app is choc-full of healthy inspirations and has launched just in time before summer. So you have plenty time to get up, get motivated and get healthy.

The app has more than 170 nutritious recipes, a daily meal planner, an in-app messaging service with the JS Health team of trained nutritionists, 52 health guides, body love support, a customisable shopping list, a daily tracker and more.

Here’s what Bondi Beauty writer Rebecca Wilkinson has to say about Jessica’s new app:

“I love it. The app is modern, clean and simple. Easy to use and follow and filled with great motivational ideas to help keep me on track with my health. Being a virgo, I love any type of organisation app, in-fact I already have about half a dozen on my phone already LOL. All for different things of course.

I really like how this app combines most of what all the other apps do into one neat little package. It’s perfect for busy people (like me) because I can quickly and easily access great recipes whilst grocery shopping last-minute. Or if you plan your week a little better, the in-built shopping app is great for organising the recipes you want to use in the app, by keeping a record of what ingredients you need to buy.”

In conjunction with the app, here are Jess’s top five cooking hacks in the kitchen to get you started on your journey of health and well-being:

Keep things simple:

Don’t over complicate it. Wholesome eating doesn’t need to be too fancy. A good-quality protein with some sautéed greens and brown rice makes a balanced, nutritious meal.

Have your essentials on hand:

When it’s time to cook, you can save yourself some time by having herbs, spices, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic on hand. They’re the basic ingredients that most of my recipes call for and they help to boost the nutritional profile and flavour of your meals.

Make time for prep:

Once a week, set aside one hour a day to prep your fridge and pantry. Then, when you feel like cooking you have everything you need. In the JSHealth App we have a whole Sunday prep guide to make this process easy and accessible.

Stock the basics:

Always have eggs, lentils and greens on hand for those nights when you need to whip up an easy meal. If you’re lacking inspiration to cook, these staples make a healthy and delicious option. We have some great lazy options in the JSHealth App. A stir-fry is another delicious option.

Experiment with new recipes:

Select one delicious recipe that you’d like to cook and give yourself time to learn, experiment and enjoy the process. When you practice in the kitchen, you get the hang of it and start to feel more comfortable and confident in your ability. This makes mealtimes to much more pleasurable.
