Self-love and embracing body changes are becoming the go to for fitness and health influencers; from Steph Claire-Smith to Sarah’s Day we provide the tips to accepting your body

Steph Claire- Smith in early May showed us why accepting changes in the body will make your life more positive and stress free. Notably, Sarah’s Day pre and post baby body progress provides the nature of accepting the bodies changes and embracing the change noting; “I love my body more than ever and can’t wait to keep you updated with my postpartum journey!”.

Melbourne based 25 year old, fitness blogger, model and co-founder of Keep It Cleaner, Steph Claire- Smith released a social media post comparing her 18-year-old body type to her current body type. Emphasising the difference in body shapes throughout her transition of teenager to adult.

While Sydney based 26 year old, holistic health guru and blogger, Sarah Stevenson (Sarah’s Day) throughout her pregnancy released healthy habits and accepting the bodies growth and change during her journey.

Sarah commented on her post pregnancy journey promoting healthy living and keeping active, ” I’m so proud of myself and the love and effort I gave my body throughout my pregnancy. I was extremely active and ate super healthy, I truly believe that’s why I feel so fantastic now! “

Steph had previously commented on her poor relationship with food and her body to her audience. The images and posts are shared in hope of girls accepting their bodies natural progression and understanding that no one is perfect.

She commented to The Daily Mail in 2018, ‘I couldn’t understand why, when I started eating well and exercising, my body was still not going back to how it was when I was 18.’

’Im sharing this with you because I know there would be so many girls out there who agree, that that time in your early 20s, or for some it’s even younger, when your metabolism slows down and you’re no longer fitting in old clothes it can be scary!’ the 25 year old captioned.

Following Steph or even her fitness partner and business co-owner Laura Henshaw provides a refreshing dose of positivity and reality compared to most influencers today. Steph posted ‘I went through a stage of hating the fact that I couldn’t look like my 18year old self anymore, because I was under the impression that that was how I had to be if I wanted to ever fully make it in the modelling industry internationally’.

Steph, Laura and Sarah are a refreshing step in the right direction in positively embracing body change and understanding natural womanly progression.

Postivie body reinforcement is an important theme of Steph, Laura and Sarah’s social media presence, helping girls accept change and understanding the bodies evolution. Steph finished her post with the words “there is no end to your journey of self love, and we will forever still have some off or bad days”.
