Exercise for your individual needs

Do you know how to exercise right based on your individual needs?

Exercise right

Exercise Right Week 2016 launches today. Supported by Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA), the campaign promotes the importance of understanding and developing a health and exercise plan, personalized to your own individual requirements.

Human physiology is incredibly complex, as are our diverse backgrounds, lifestyle challenges, personalities and individual circumstances. We are all unique, with varying presences of chronic illnesses and injuries. So when it comes to exercise, there is no effective one-size-fits-all approach.

It is crucial to understand your unique needs to be able to exercise right.

The campaign promotes three key components:

Right professional: Find the right professional with the correct accreditation required to understand your unique health status.
Right place: Individual differences affect where you can exercise safely and most effectively. Whether it be a gym, a clinic, a pool or a park, it is important to select the best location to improve your health.
Right time: Who you are can affect when you should exercise. Certain health conditions can impact what time of day is the most safe and effective time to be active.
