Cafe Review: The Wholefood Farm in the City

Aussie tastes in healthy food are changing, and Sydney day time venue The Farm is fast becoming one of the most popular places in Sydney for clean, healthy food.

The Farm Wholefoods Café in Potts Point is a wholesome, clean eating café delivering fresh food straight from the farm to the plate, and they are quietly dominating the wholefood, healthy eating scene.

It’s no secret Sydney is completely obsessed with wholefoods, clean eating and gluten-free menus, and The Farm is partly the reason why many Sydney-goers are constantly on the lookout for fresh food to enjoy.

The venue has a breakfast and lunch menu, take away options and a healthy food bar where scoops of treats can be purchased.

From green power smoothies, gluten-free sweets such as banana bread and chocolate brownies to grilled salmon on a bed of quinoa and kale salad, their menu boasts a wide range for even the fussiest of eaters.

The seasonal produce-driven menu is a fabulous healthy mix of nourishing bowls, salads, sandwiches and burgers and have been developed in collaboration with well-known nutritionist and wholefoods cook, Jacqueline Alwill from The Brown Paper Bag.

Jacqueline Alwill is a Member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. She is a Sydney-based nutritionist, personal trainer, wholefoods chef, recipe writer and mother, who is is utterly passionate about everything relating to health, food and living a happy, balanced life.

From gluten-free cereals, protein balls and mixed nuts. You’ll find everything you need to cover your weekly shopping needs, when it comes to healthy snacks and breakfast foods.

Owners of the casual chic and rustic café, Lisa and Josh Thompson employ a mantra of healthy eating and nourishing food, which they believe should be easily accessible by anyone.

Inspiration behind the café came from Josh’s childhood, where he spent much of his youth on his Grandparents coastal farm.

And their menu options are delicious.

The Farm Wholefoods Café is open for breakfast and lunch only and are located at No. 3/81 MacLeay St in Potts Point. They also have locations in Neutral Bay and a new location which just opened up in Cammeray.
