What Will Fitness Look Like In 2021?

How To Get Motivation For Fitness - with BARE FIT CO

Bondi Beauty goes through some of hottest fitness trends predicted for 2021 and how they will affect you.

With restrictions and lockdowns occurring worldwide, businesses were blindsided, having to shut down completely or move online.

For businesses within the fitness industry, this meant getting creative, testing new platforms and seeing what they could possibly do to simply stay afloat.

With that in mind, we’ve forecasted the top fitness trends you can expect to see in 2021.

Online is Here to Stay:

If we can appreciate anything to come out of 2020, it is that all of our favourite and global fitness studios went online.

This meant that even people who don’t live nearby were finally able to train with the instructors that they had previously heard about.

Training from home also meant less travel, since it was no longer necessary to leave the house.

This year, Flow Athletic launched 2 online platforms to maintain their success with an international audience during Covid.

FlowAthletic tv offers every type of workout you could want, from yoga, pilates, strength, HIIT and even mindfulness classes.

Plus, they have just collaborated with our very own Sammy Robinson for a new 30 Day Challenge, the perfect way to kickstart that 2021 fitness resolution.

Convenience:

If you don’t actually have to be anywhere, then it is very easy to skip your 6:30am workout in favour of a sleep- in.

However, 12RND Fitness is one club that makes it hard for you to miss your workout. I

n fact, they have a new round starting every 3-minutes in the time frames that their studios are open, so you can show up anytime during opening hours and just jump in.

Now you have no excuses to miss your session.

As less people are restricted to their strict work schedule, this has made it ultra convenient to fit a class in around their own time.

Fit Tech:

Fitness technology is a category that has been growing fast for the past few years, with the likes of Peleton and Mirror taking the world by storm, however Australia has their own player now, Vitruvian who launched in November 2020 with $2.5 millions USD in investment.

This machine is truly revolutionising the way people train.

From measuring and monitoring progress to ensure results, offering users hundreds of workouts at their fingertips and connecting them with the rest of the community.

Fit tech is an area that will continue to grow, especially if more people start choosing to do most of their workouts from home.

Events:

From sitting at bars, going to the movies and even attending fitness competitions, 2020 saw all live events take a huge hit.

We predict 2021 will see a huge eruption of people eager to get back out there and live their lives again.

From running festivals and obstacle races, triathlons and Flow After Dark, there is no doubt that 2021 will be booming when it comes to getting people connected, active and moving together again

Mindful Exercise in Nature:

Paddle boarding wasn’t so trendy last summer thanks to the bush fires so now is a great time to get out and about and truly explore Sydney’s beautiful nature, even if it’s from the water.

Stand up paddle boarding is a great sport that works your entire body without you even realising it.

It is a great activity to do with the family or even with your dog.

Take it up a notch with yoga on the water which is the perfect low-impact exercise if you have injuries.

Red Paddle Co is an award winning inflatable paddle board company that packs their boards up into backpacks, making them easier to store, travel with when exploring hidden waterways.
