My 2-Day Liquid Wellness Cleanse

Popular clean eating Bondi cafe Mr Perkins has a new 2-day liquid wellness cleanse.

The Wellness Cleanse by Mr Perkins.

It’s called the Wellness Cleanse, and it consists of 12 delicious pre-made recipes in jars to help you detox, cleanse and refresh your system in just 2 days.

The recipes include hearty vegetable soups, refreshing fruit smoothies and a delicious chai berry parfait to help finish your day.

Each recipe has been created to provide your body with all the necessary vitamins and nutrients you need to start you on the road to clean eating. And they are perfectly packaged in an easy to use glass jar with a lid, making it easy to take to work, or eat on the go.

All recipes have been made from pure plant food like fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and legumes. And each recipe will provide you with plenty of fibre, calcium and protein to help keep your energy levels up throughout the day and fill you for longer.

Mr Perkins is a clean eating cafe, which specialises in providing a healthy and nutritional menu for both eat in and take away. Click here for more info about their restaurant.

Enjoying my first day of cleansing.

I’m normally not a fan of cleanses. Mostly because many of them are fad diets, designed around cleansing your body with either herbal teas or fruit juices for a week. All of which sounds way too stressful for the body. Not to mention, I love my food, so the idea of drinking herbal teas or fruit juices all week doesn’t sound appealing in the slightest.

A cleanse that includes hearty nutritional soups, on the other hand… Yeah, I could TRY that.

Ideally, you are meant to start the cleanse on either a Sunday or a Monday. This is so you can stop drinking coffee and reduce your sugar intake over the weekend, and be ready to start fresh on a Monday, without the stress of having to deal with any massive withdrawals or headaches, which normally come with detoxing.

I started my cleanse on a Monday, and although I did cheat a little and have a single shot soy cap in the morning (sorry, Mr Perkins), cutting out sugar entirely and drinking no coffee did wonders for my skin and energy levels. And by midday Tuesday, I felt so refreshed and revitalised, I began to wish I had done the 3-day cleanse, instead of just the 2 days.

I did struggle a little with the smoothies and chai berry parfait, but that was mostly because we are in winter. Spring would probably be a good time to start this cleanse.

Mr Perkins nailed it with this cleanse and I will definitely try it out again at the beginning of spring. The recipes are delicious and easy to digest, and even though I am back to drinking coffee again in the morning, just knowing how good I felt on the cleanse has actually made me reduce my daily intake.

The price of the Wellness Cleanse by Mr Perkins starts at $69 for the 1-day cleanse, $138 for the 2-day cleanse, then $207 for the 3-day cleanse. And is available now.

Thanks, Mr Perkins. For more details on the cleanse, or to order your cleanse now, click here.
