In light of the devastating bushfire crisis in Australia, on the 15th and 16th of February, local Bondi businesses are banding together to donate 100% of their proceeds to the national bushfire appeal, Australian Lions Foundation (ALF).
The ALF have been providing emergency support to Australian bushfire victims from the very start.
Over $1 million have been raised in the past three months.
This money goes towards vital necessities such as shopping vouchers, food, emergency supplies and water tanks.
The donations that have been collected so far have been dispersed to directly affected communities in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
By creating the Bondi Gives Back Initiative #smallbizbigrelief, Bondi locals are hoping to utilise Bondi’s popularity to garner as much financial support as possible.
Stores and cafes that have hopped on board include Bru, Drake, Bondi Rumba, Gertrude and Alice, Will & Co, Toni & Guy, Between The Flags, Badlams, Lean Bean Fitness, The Shop and Wine Bar, Parlour Box and more.
So, on the 15th and 16th of February, grab a few of your mates, head down to Bondi and spend up, as your proceeds will be going directly to the bushfire victims themselves.
