Why Micellar Water Really Works (We review 4)

Is it time to add micellar water to your skincare routine?

The hottest skin care trend, micellar water is the easiest way to cleanse your face. We road test four micellar water products to see if it’s worth adding to your skincare routine.

Micellar water is a water based formula made of tiny little micelles; which are tiny little cleansing molecules which float around in the water formula.

These tiny little micelles are able to absorb daily debris like dirt, excess oils (sebum) and makeup from your skin. Basically, they work like a magnet to clean your pores for a proper facial cleanser.

You apply micellar water to dirty skin by use of a cotton pad, and gently swipe across your lips, eyes, face, neck, anywhere you have makeup or where you think your skin needs cleansing. Super easy for travelling.

Although it has been around for a while, there are many brands now jumping on board with their own niche style micellar water product, which promises to detoxify, cleanse and dissolve impurities and makeup from your skin with one swipe. Yes, one swipe.

The Bondi Beauty team tried and tested some great micellar water products.

Here’s what writer Rebecca Wilkinson had to say about Micellar Water:

“I wanted to test how well Micellar Water really worked , so I first cleansed my skin twice to ensure all my makeup was removed (or so I thought). I then soaked a cotton pad with micellar water and swiped over my T Zone, which is always prone to excess oil and dirt. I couldn’t believe how much dirt and makeup was still on my skin, even after cleansing; twice. The micellar water really did work, and my skin felt amazing afterwards.”

But don’t just take out word for it, see for yourself and try out one of these amazing micellar water products we are loving right now:
