Beauty Review: Trialling Bubble Skincare, The New Affordable, American Plant Based Skincare Range

Bubble Skincare

Bubble is the first skincare brand created for young skin that’s science driven, affordable, non-toxic, and plant based.

Bubble launched in the US in 2020, and after four years of success, it has finally arrived in Australia.

Branded as “the only skincare you’ll want to use”, Bubble skincare is marketed as a universal, affordable and quality line of skincare products which are “made from nature and formulated to deliver face-changing results for young skin”.

The products feature hero ingredients including niacinamide and aloe vera extract, which serve to heal skin texture and calm redness, as well as hydrate and visibly plump the skin.

It is dermatologically tested, all products target a specific skin care concern, which is Bubble’s objective. They say they are taking a ‘new-school skincare’ approach ‘in an old-school skincare world.’

Whilst marketing as universally applicable, Bubble is founded on the idea that ‘youthful’, contemporary and updated skincare is hard to find.

The fun, bright packaging boasting vibrant oranges and blues, and product names, like ‘the Bounce Back’ toner and ‘slam dunk’ moisturiser are trendy and modern.

We review the range by bubble to see what the hype is. With a team diverse in age, skin types, concerns and preferences, the line was put to the ultimate test.

“So I am not in the age group Bubble is targeting, but I like the products, and in a word, they are effervescent and fun. They’re also excellent value for money and the fragrances are pleasant and summery.

The Bounce Back toner mist is fresh and light – I loved using this first thing in the morning straight out of bed at 5.30am before the gym. It instantly gave me a lift.

Similarly, Bubble’s magic melt cleanser is a milky cleanser which was excellent in getting makeup off without leaving my skin feeling dry or parched – but I do not wear heavy makeup. It was easy to use and soft on my hands.

But to be fair I do not wear a lot of makeup so I am looking for a skin cleanser rather than a hard core makeup remover.

Level Up, the gel-based moisturiser, was my favourite product, as I have fairly oily skin. I loved this as an everyday moisturiser under makeup, especially in warm weather and tinted moisturiser. It glides on well and leaves skin smooth.

Overall, the line was great in lifting my mood in the mornings, and it will be nice to use the same products as my daughter. I rate the Bubble range an 8/10.”

“I really appreciated the simplicity and youthfulness of this product line. It’s fun, vibrant and appeals to all ages whilst also providing universally effective products.

The Fresh Start cleanser was straight-forward and fragrance free. I found it to be easy to apply with the pump, and it was gentle on my dry skin. As it’s a water gel cleanser, I found myself using this in the mornings and after workouts for a gentle lift.

The Bounce Back toner mist was a great addition to this line. It’s so convenient. I’ve left it in my car as a refresher throughout the day, to revive my skin and makeup. This was a standout for me – it smelt great but didn’t irritate, as well as visibly plumping my dry skin.

The packaging is bright, eye-catching and perfect for all ages. It prioritises functionality whilst also maintaining the brand’s aim in appealing to a youthful demographic. I felt this product range delivers on its promises with young, comprehensive and effective products.

This line was a strong 8/10 for me.”

“I would buy the complete Bubble product line. The whole set provides what you need for the perfect skincare routine.

The toner mist and Slam Dunk moisturiser were favourites for me. I have sensitive skin, and most toners don’t work on my skin – but this toner doesn’t contain fragrance which causes irritation. The application was easy with just two or three sprays.

The Slam Dunk moisturiser was a ten out of ten. I really love the packaging, especially when you can mix the other products together and apply all at once. The texture is really creamy, and the fragrance isn’t strong. It’s perfect for sensitive skin.

I feel like the packaging for this launch really hit the spot. It’s unique, and the ingredients are transparently curated for sensitive skin, creating a soothing skincare routine for a reasonable price. This was a 9/10.”

“The Bubble range is great for its simple products, and the results make it a worthwhile addition to my skincare routine.

The Fresh Start cleanser has a lightweight, refreshing texture that lathers well which cleanses my skin while providing a feeling of hydration. It leaves my face feeling clean, but I do notice some dryness shortly after rinsing.

I would buy the Day Dream serum, because it effectively reduces hyperpigmentation leaving my skin looking brighter and more even-toned. It has a gentle, milky formula and over time it noticeably reduced my hyperpigmentation.

The packaging is impressive. Each product arrives in a sturdy cardboard box with clear instructions on both the box and the bottle, which is helpful if the box is thrown away. An infographic explaining each product’s benefits for different skin types was also provided, which helped me choose to use only 3 out of the 5 products, since I have dry skin.

Overall, I rate this an 8/10.”

“Overall I enjoyed this skincare brand as I felt it was great for sensitive skin. The eco friendly packaging is really appealing to me.

The Foaming Powerhouse Cleanser was non-drying so my skin did not feel depleted after use, and it worked for my sensitive skin. For me though it did not remove all of my makeup first go, so I had to do a second cleanse.

The Bubble Cloud Surf Moisturiser was perfect for day time as it gave my skin a fresh glow, I loved the non-greasy finish and enjoyed the light weight texture under makeup – and noted it was still very hydrating. On the other hand it would be too light for very dry skin or harsh weather conditions.

The Bubble Day Dream serum was lightweight but still deeply hydrating which was amazing. It noticeable brightened and evened out my skin tone. I liked that the non-greasy formula absorbed quickly and left a dewy but non-sticky finish.

Overall I would rate the Bubble range an 8.5/10″
