What’s Your Go-to Foundation?

BB Writer Rebecca chats to the team about what their go-to foundation is and why.

Looking for a new foundation and don’t know where to start? We get it. With so many different formulas to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming to make the right decision on what sort of foundation will work for you.

During isolation, buying foundation is particularly tricky as you can’t just go down the store and try them all out.

I chat to the Bondi Beauty team to find out what foundation is their current go-to formula and why.

BB Writer Zoe uses the Beauty Blender Bounce Liquid Whip Foundation RRP $64.

“It has amazing full coverage and literally hides so many imperfections for an airbrushed matte finish. It’s also super easy to apply thanks to the square-box design of the packaging, which is designed perfectly to fit a beauty blender. This foundation is light weight and ideal for combination skin types.”

BB writer Anisha uses the M.A.C Studio Face & Body Foundation RRP $54

“This foundation leaves my complexion looking fresh rather than fake. In terms of coverage, this foundation blends well, makes skin glow and gives you an even finish. If you’re looking for a more natural foundation, to enhance your skin rather than cover your entire face, I could not recommend this product enough.”

BB writer Tara uses The Synergie Skin, Mineral Whip Foundation RRP $69.00.

“This has been my sensitive skin saviour. The unique consistency of this foundation starts as a cream but dries somewhat like a powder, so you don’t have to set it. It is also a mineral foundation, so I feel safer knowing that there are no harmful chemicals in it. What’s more it has an SPF coverage of 40+ which is perfect everyday foundation.”

BB founder Renae is still committed to Estee Lauder’s Double Wear in the shade of Pebble RRP $59.

“It glides on easily, lasts all day and my skin does not get shiny. I guess I am not the only one, as this is repeatedly reported to be the number one selling foundation in the world. The newly added navy blue pump also makes application easier from the bottle, although it does absorb a lot of product meaning you get less out of each jar so I no longer use it.”

BB writer Rebecca favours the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Foundation Cream with SPF50 RRP $63.

“Although I do swap foundations daily, from the Skin To Die For™ Mineral-Matte CC Cream by Peter Thomas Roth to the Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation, I always find myself reaching for this fabulous foundation formula by IT Cosmetics. Why? The texture and finish. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t block pores and appears like you’re not wearing any foundation at all. It also works well with my oily skin type as it gives a natural, no matte, no shine finish. So no powder is required to finish off your look.”
