Founder of Huda Beauty Launches New Skincare Range

Wishful skincare brand by Huda Kattan

If you’re a fan of the makeup range Huda Beauty you’re going to love their new affiliated skincare range Wishful.

There’s no stopping the Iraqi-American business woman and makeup artist Huda Kattan, founder of the makeup brand Huda Beauty which launched a fabulous range of eyeshadow palettes selling anywhere from $50 for a nine share palette to $100 for an eighteen shade palette

At thirty six, she is a super influencer who was voted one of the top twenty-five influential women of 2017, and is well-known across Europe, the US, UK and Australia for her stunning eyeshadow palettes which leave most beauty enthusiasts drooling over new releases.

This is her third brand release, after her release of fragrances called Kayali in 2019. Kattan is excited to be entering the field of skincare in the beauty space.

In a recent interview Kattan said, “I really respect the drag-like beauty concept created for Huda Beauty, in real life, I am really very simple. My new skincare brand Wishful represents that simplicity.

The aim is to create a skincare brand which delivers gentle and effective skincare solutions for everyday concerns, and at reasonable prices.’

So far, only one product is set to be released globally on the 16th February 2020, which is the Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub. The scrub contains papaya enzyme, pineapple enzyme, beta hydroxy acids and alpha hydroxy acids, all of which promote healthy and glowing skin, which is evenly tones and is suitable for any skin type.

Her future plans for the new brand Wishful focus heavily on face products with a possible expansion into body care. However, her main focus is the face. Kattan has also specified she won’t be creating products for every single issue such as acne, wrinkles or pigmentation. Instead she will focus solely on delivering soft, smooth skin with diminished pores.

With skincare being the opposite of makeup, Kattan felt it was only natural to launch the new range under a new branding, seperating it from the world of makeup.

Wishful will be sold across most of Huda Beauty’s exisiting retail partners including Sephora, Harrods, Cult Beauty, Selfridges and Boots. However, due to the planned narrow product range there is potential of the brand to expand to retailers where Huda isn’t sold yet.

My Favourite Beauty Product of the Week:

Australian Emu Apple Dreamy Glow Drops RRP $74.90

sand and sky australian emu dreamy glow drops

Smells like a mixed berry smoothie, goes onto the skin like silk and keeps skin feeling soft and luxurious throughout the day.

Rich in antioxidants, this face serum is NEW to the Sand and Sky family; who are known for their highly successful Pink Clay Mask, and is a multi-targeted Hyaluronic Acid complex formula instantly transforms skin from dry and dull to shiny and new – literally.

I noticed a significant differenCE in overall skin tone and complexion within four days of using this face serum. It’s loaded with five different types of Hyaluronic acid, which means it absorbs even more moisture from the air around you to lock in skin hydration for longer looking plump and glowing skin.

You can use this serum daily to help with dryness, dull skin and to protect from daily pollution. And, as it’s also packed with potent antioxidants and Vitamin C, I also noticed a rapid recovery time on any exisiting blemishes which I was fighting prior to using this serum. Winning.
