Are You A Friends Fan? You’re Going to Love This New Makeup Range

Pop culture brand ‘Hot Topic’ has launched a Friends inspired eye palette and brush set which we are completely obsessing over.

For any Friends-obsessed fans (or a fan of any other show), Hot Topic (who are a retail chain online), have been selling counterculture related clothing and accessories for a variety of popular movies and television shows.

By far one of the cutest items they have is the new Friends inspired makeup range which includes a 12-shade eyeshadow palette and a makeup brush set.

The palette is a black box with the Friends logo on the front, and inside is a bright fun coloured blue with little images of New York scattered across the packaging with the words ‘how you doin?’ printed near the shades.

Each shade has been aptly named to represent a specific saying and moments from the hit TV-series like Chick, We Were on a Break, Coffee (which goes without saying) and Miss Chanandler Bing. There’s even a shade called duck to represent when Joey and Chanandler owned a duck.

Remember that episode? Ah, good times!

The Makeup Brush Set and Holder is just as adorable as the eyeshadow palette, with the Friends logo on the side of the brush holder and the logo of the famous Central Perk Café on the top.

Each bristle of the brush set is a beautiful ombre of red and black, representing a slick hot New York look, to match the vibrant 12-shade palette of colours to explore and have fun with. There’s a powder brush, an angled eyeshadow brush, a blending brush and an eyeshadow brush

The range is cruelty-free, and the colours are bubbly and refreshing with a palette ideal for someone who loves exploring shades outside of your general moody greys and natural nudes.

I don’t know about you, but this new Friends kit has me excited for Christmas. It’s perfect as a gift for those Friends obsessed friends of yours (including yourself).

Hot Topic does deliver to Australia. However, there is no overnight shipping available (for obvious reasons). So, make sure you order early and give yourself plenty of time to get this fabulous new set for yourself, or someone special.

My Favourite Beauty Product of the Week:

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser RRP $49

The lemonade-like sweet fragrance of this cleanser reminds me of a summer cocktail spritz on a balmy evening. I love using this cleanser because it tingles slightly letting me know it is cleansing all the dirt, grime and foundation from my pores and my skin feels soft and supple after using it.

I am a cleanser collector and require a different one for different stages of my skin. For example, I use a cream cleanser when my skin is dry, an oil cleanser when my skin is congested and a gel cleanser for when my skin is oily.

This is the cleanser I use for my oily days. Its formulation is gel, but unlike some gels cleansers where the gel is sticky and heavy, this cleanser is light and airy which feels great on the days my skin feels heavy and oily.

Although I do cleanse both Am and PM, this is my PM cleanser, as the formulation of the gel works well to help cleanse away the oily build-up from the day.

I cleanse twice before showering for a deep cleanse as foundation often gets stuck in my pores throughout the day, which only adds to my oil issues. I use a generous amount first up to remove my foundation and any other products like moisturizer, serum and oil I have on underneath, the wash off using warm water.

I then apply again, but a smaller amount and massage deep into the pores to ensure the gel sinks deep into the skin layers and use circular motions to clear out pores. I wash again with warm water and viola. Clean and glowing skin.
