Here’s how you can look fab within minutes for a polished post-workout look.
Elizabeth Arden Eight hours of Heaven Cream RRP $19.50
If there’s one product any fitness freak can’t live without, it’s Elizabeth Arden’s 8 hour Cream. It helps before and after any fitness hit, to protect lips, brows, cuticles and dry skin, and also soothes, restores, calms and reduces redness or irritation.
It helps lots with chaffing plus you can even use it on your eye lids according to Rebecca Restrepo, Global Make-up Artist from Elizabeth Arden; “Place some on your eyelids for the glossy eyelid look that was seen all over the fall 2013 runways.” We like the cute little jar. The lip protectant stick sunscreen SPF15 is awesome for long distance runs, rock climbing or anything else that exposes you to the elements.
Michael Kors After Sun Gelee RRP $55
Michael Kors recently released a range of glamorously packed gold luxe sun products to celebrate everything summer has on offer. The After Sun Gelee soothing gel soothes, calms and cools after sun, and has a subtle hint of the MK fragrance we know and love.
Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup RRP $55
Post-workout, there are two things I want from my make-up. It has to be fast and reliable, and it can’t leak. Clinique’s new Even Better Compact Makeup fits the bill, and the SPF15 is a great bonus. The foundation is lightweight, covers blemishes, and works for all skin types. It’s moist so wont crack and shatter all over your gym bag.
Style your hair with hot buns:
Fresh from Milan fashion week, Wella’s global creative director Eugene Souleiman created elegant up-style buns, which look slick, and are great after a swim or big fitness session.
Here is our post-workout edited version of his simple steps to getting the look:
STEP 1: Spray hair with Wella Professionals Perfect Setting Blow Dry Lotion RRP $24 and blow-dry hair by keeping it flat and straight
STEP 2: Create a low side part and separate the front section of hair by clipping it forward and out of the way
STEP 3: Pull the back section of hair into a ponytail and position slightly low on the back of the head. Continue with a spray of hairspray and brush with a soft bristle brush while creating the ponytail to keep the hair flat and in place
STEP 4: Unclip the front section of the hair and again using a soft bristle brush, brush the hair flat down to the head, spraying with hairspray again to keep in place and add to the hold
STEP 5: Brush the front section flat and low behind the ear and continue by tying the longer section in to the ponytail
STEP 6: Spray the ponytail with water to create a damp malleable texture. If you’ve had a big workout and your hair is dry, use some SP LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir RRP $42 through the ponytail for added shine and smoothness
STEP 7: Twist the ponytail into a bun and pin into place, voila.
