Pure make-up? This is as wholesome as it gets:

Our 3 Favourite All-Natural Beauty Brands

Inika make-up is both natural and beautiful.

Is it worth it to make yourself feel beautiful at the expense of the environment? That’s one question these beauty brands have taken to heart. Their amazing organic, natural, and cruelty-free make-up ranges are all built on the belief that make-up should make you feel good as well as look good.

Inika
INIKA’s make-up products are all vegan, cruelty-free, and Halal. On top of that pedigree, many of them are Organic as well. When Bondi Beauty spoke to them, they explained that their philosophy was to prove that natural make-up didn’t compromise on performance. Based on their products they’ve certainly achieved this goal.
We love INIKA’s entire make-up range, but if we had to pick our favourite it would have to be their Certified Organic Pure Primer (RRP$60). We found it very hard to find organic primer’s elsewhere and INIKA’s works beautifully. It goes on a little tackier than other primer’s and it holds make-up incredibly well across the day. We found it works particularly well as an eyeshadow primer.

SCOUT
Sydney-based make-up brand SCOUT is one of our favourite environmentally conscious brands. All of their make-up is Organic, natural, and vegan. SCOUT has a broad range of cosmetics that includes lipsticks, eyeshadows, nail polishes, and foundations. Creative Director Sylvie Hutching’s commitment to organic products means that SCOUT is one of the only brands on our list that is entirely organic.
SCOUT Cosmetics’ Mineral Eyeshadows (RRP$29.95) are our favourites on this list. They have a great range of natural colours that all go on smooth and stay strong, lasting at least six hours. We love that the colours don’t fade when you apply them, plus they’re easily blended.

The Body Shop
We’ve already talked about The Body Shop in our natural skincare article, but their make-up range is just as fantastic. Anita Roddick’s cruelty-free and community friendly philosophy extends to sourcing ingredients for their beauty products. Their products are well labelled and very transparent about how and where their products are made, so we can always be sure what we’re getting. There’s a lot to love about The Body Shop.
Our favourite right now is their All-In-One Face Base (RRP$29.95), which comes in a great range of shades and goes on smooth. It has good coverage without being cakey, and comes in an easy-to-carry compact.

Ally Bodnaruk

Ally enjoys long books and large coffees. She spends most of her time daydreaming about new places to travel instead of writing, and the rest of it daydreaming about all the things she’d like to write.
