MAC has launched a world first, an app to help master various make-up techniques, which can be taken to a MAC technique workshop to learn the tricks of the trade.

MAC has some of the best make-up artists in the world, and they’ve now come up with a way to bring those experts to the masses, and teach us about products, application and how to achieve catwalk looks.

The MAC technique app is simple to use.

Technique workshops will be held at MAC outlets all over Australia – and anyone can book in using the app. (A minimal charge of $120 applies, which is redeemable on product.)

At the technique workshop of your choosing, you can learn anything from a natural make-up look to special occasion make-up or a smokey eye.

As the class is happening you can mark the product you like with your own app and buy it after the class or keep the list until you want the product at a later date.

The app (MAC technique) includes face charts, notes, tips and tricks, so you can open it at home long after you’ve forgotten the class and remind yourself of those insider tips which worked so well.

MAC technique classes are predicted to change the way cosmetics are sold globally.

This is a revolution for women who don’t know how to apply make-up, are time poor or want to keep ahead of trends. It is being road tested here in Australia before being rolled out globally.

I can’t think of a better way to spend time with a girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon before going out. Fun, educational, and you leave looking beautiful.

Industry experts are already predicting this is the much-needed change to the way consumers buy cosmetics, as it educates, helps them discover new techniques and products and can remind them of new innovations or products they have forgotten to buy.
